Three weeks workshop about thinking, sketching, designing and making ideas in clay for local traditional food.
“ Any dictionary tells us that tradition is the sum of the rules, uses and innovations collected during the life of the human being, which is transmitted from generation to generation. In tradition there are rules that expire and others that are born. The tradition is alive when its contribution is renewed endlessly. To repeat a past moment of tradition is not to act according to it. The tradition is made daily. “

EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARMENIAN DESIGNERS AND ARTISANS
TUMO Studios is a free educational program for young adults focused on the creation of analog products – beautiful things you can touch, wear, taste and smell; things you can cherish and use in your daily life; tangible things that add quality to the everyday. That’s kind of our thing.
The first goal achieved is to have led a workshop with the students to think, design and make the prototypes as supports for the traditional Armenian dishes. The second one that I am proud of is to have contributed to the production of a selection of these final projects, which are currently for sale in the school’s online shop.
