CURSO INTENSIVO DE TORNO ALFARERO / NIVEL AVANZADO
Marc Vidal es un maestro tornero, un artista reconocido que experimenta con el barro, un excelente ceramista que colabora con reconocidos diseñadores y artistas internacionales, además de ser un docente que combina la tradición alfarera con las tecnologías mas innovadoras. Después de haber enseñado en las escuelas Traç y Massana, actualmente Marc es profesor en la Escuela de Arte La Industrial de Barcelona.
PROGRAMA:
El curso intensivo de torno alfarero de nivel avanzado tiene como objetivo explorar practicando las posibilidades del torno, centrándose sobretodo en la creación de piezas dobles, piezas grandes de hasta 5kg y piezas redondas. El curso permite perfeccionar las pinzas para construir a la perfección la estructura de la pieza aprovechando todo el material disponible. Durante las sesiones se dedicarán unas horas a resolver dudas individuales mediante ejercicios personalizados. Siendo el objetivo principal la práctica y no la producción, Marc seleccionará de cada alumno la mejor pieza para su bizcochado. Se podrán retirar las piezas bizcochadas después de seguir la fase de secado y horneado.
* El taller se impartirá principalmente en español (con apoyo en inglés).
* Se empleará barro de baja temperatura
* El curso requiere un número mínimo de participantes para poder llevarse a cabo. En caso de no alcanzar este aforo mínimo establecido hasta 7 días antes de la fecha de inicio, el curso será cancelado y se procederá a la devolución íntegra del importe abonado a todos los inscritos, sin cargos adicionales, en un plazo máximo de 10 días hábiles mediante el mismo método de pago utilizado para la inscripción.
INTENSIVE POTTER’S WHEEL COURSE / ADVANCED LEVEL
Marc Vidal is a master potter, a renowned artist who experiments with clay, an excellent ceramist who collaborates with several international designers and artists, as well as being a teacher who combines pottery tradition with the most innovative technologies. After having taught at Trac and Massana schools, Marc is currently a teacher at the school of Art La Industrial in Barcelona.
PROGRAMME:
The intensive advanced potter’s wheel course aims to explore the possibilities of the potter’s wheel, focusing on the creation of double pieces, large pieces up to 5kg and round ones. The course allows the students to perfect the pinches in order to build the structure of the piece to perfection, making the most of all the material available. During the sessions, a few hours will be dedicated to resolving individual doubts through personalised exercises. The main objective being practice and not production, Marc will select from each student the best piece to be bisque fired. The bisque fired pieces can be collected after the drying and firing phase.
* The workshop will be given mainly in Spanish (with a support in english).
* Low temperature clay will be used.
* The course requires a minimum number of participants in order to proceed. Should this minimum attendance requirement not be met by 7 days prior to the commencement date, the course will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued to all registrants, without additional charges, within a maximum period of 10 working days via the same payment method used for registration.
Tickets to our workshops are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. However, if you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend. To do this, please contact us with your friend’s name prior to the workshop date. Thanks for understanding!
