Decorative vases inspired by the flora of the island of Filicudi (Aeolian archipelago, Sicily).
Technique: Crackle technique by applying sodium silicate on top of pigment-coloured slip-coated; after drying, a soft and long pressure is applied from the inside to tighten the outer skin and reveal the first layer of stoneware behind the colour…all the process is made on the potter’s wheel.
Materials: Low temperature white clay / pink gradient colour slip coating / glossy transparent glaze
