What should a souvenir be?

Tokyo-born, New York-based designer Momoko explored the tactile language of the Mediterranean coast.

Over a four day workshop, she documented textures and patterns found along Mallorca’s southwest coast, translating forms shaped by weather and time into clay objects. The project became the first exercise in Design Your Souvenir, using the souvenir as an object of memory and a material interpretation of place.
